At Porthcothan Retreats we have the most stunning walks right from the doorstep, straight up onto the South West Coast Path where the views are breathtaking, you can do loops in either direction straight from the front door. Today we also took the 10min drive to Padstow and started our day with a coffee overlooking Padstow Harbour, then walked the first part of the Saints Way starting on the camel trail, up over daffodil fields along the estuary, then up the creek through forests of bluebells to Little Petherick where we jumped on the No.11 bus back to Padstow.

Updated: Apr 7

At Porthcothan Retreats, we've been actively getting ready for Spring. The Pinot Noir vines have been pruned for increased strength, and we are optimistic they will thrive in their second year.

The wildflowers are starting to bloom....Bluebells, Foxgloves, and Campions which surround the cabins along with fruit trees that are in full bud waiting to blossom.

The beach is stunning and pristine, with an abundance of sand, and the Porthcothan Bay shop is fully stocked and prepared to open for the season. Padstow also features some new dining spots around the harbour this year, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming you to our slice of paradise.
