The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the upstairs open-plan living area was bright, spacious, and perfectly designed to make the most of the stunning ocean views. Watching the sunset from the recliner chairs was a real highlight of our stay. The kitchen was exceptionally well designed and equipped with everything we needed. A really comfortable and relaxing place which is a very short walk to a lovely quiet beach with the best coffee in Cornwall being served from the local shop. Surf boards, wetsuits etc all available to hire or you can head to the busier beaches of Watergate, Mawgan Porth or Harlyn which are a short drive away. Feels like a home from home whenever we visit. Highly recommended!"

  • "We had a great stay at Meg’s place. We have visited Cornwall many times but this was the first time we have been to Porthcothan. It is a fantastic area with a beautiful beach and a fantastic little beach shop. We were lucky to have the best weather you could ask for! Sunnyridge is a 5 minute walk down to the beach (bit longer on the way back up). We spend every evening on the beach as it was so close. I loved the upside down living, taking advantage of the fabulous sea view. We had everything we needed. The information booklet provided by Meg was so helpful with general info about the house and the area. Meg was very responsive when I had a couple of questions before we arrived. All in all I couldn’t fault anything and highly recommend staying here. We will be back!"

Up the stairs, the top floor opens into a light-filled living area featuring plush sofas, coastal decor, and a juliet balcony for watching the sunset over the ocean view. Adjacent is a full-sized domestic kitchen complete with modern appliances, ample prep space, and an integrated dining table - perfect for lingering over home-cooked dinners made with fresh local ingredients from Nearby Padstow.

Downstairs, the main bedroom houses a comfortable kingsized bed, built-in wardrobe storage, and french doors out the patio. This room shares a jack and jill style ensuite bathroom with the neighbouring single bedroom. The third double bedroom has its own outdoor access. Outside, there is a lower and upper seating area - an ideal spot for al fresco breakfast or unwinding after a day on the water.
